Turning Journaling into Story Writing with Ambreen Butt-Hussain In-Person
For children 9-12 years of age.
Let's celebrate Canadian Children's Book Week! Join Ambreen for a fun and interactive session about turning journaling into story writing. Ambreen will read a chapter from The Unlovable Alina Butt, revealing how the story was inspired by her own childhood experiences, of immigrating to a new country, being the new kid, trying to fit in with a funny last name. Participants will think of their funniest memory, personal experiences and imagination, and learn how to turn that into a riveting story.
Following the program, Ambreen will be selling copies of her book for $10. This is a discounted rate for Canadian Children's Book Week.
