Gennile Thomas Smith is the founder and Executive Director of Halton Black Voices, an organization that creates spaces where Black voices are heard, celebrated, and valued in the Halton region. Gennile is deeply committed to fostering belonging and advocating for equity, working tirelessly to address systemic barriers that impact Black individuals and families.
Through her leadership, Halton Black Voices has become a vital part of the community, offering programs and initiatives that uplift Black youth, celebrate Black culture, and create opportunities
for connection and growth. Gennile’s work is rooted in her passion for social justice and her belief in the power of community to create lasting change.
With a warm and approachable style, Gennile leads with compassion and a focus on building relationships, always striving to make the Halton region a more inclusive and equitable place for everyone.
