Understand the Canadian tax system and learn good tax practices.

This program provides a comprehensive overview of the Canadian tax system, including why taxes are paid, how they are used, and the different types of taxes. Participants will learn how to file tax returns, access benefits, reduce taxes through deductions and credits, and navigate the CRA system, while also understanding the importance of good tax practices and the distinction between tax avoidance and tax evasion.

This session is provided by Chartered Professional Accountants or CPA Canada. CPA Canada is one of the largest national accounting organizations in the world and provides unbiased objective financial literacy education and information to Canadians to improve the overall state of financial literacy in Canada.
