Artist in Residence: Upcycling - Clothing and Accessories @ Sherwood In-Person

Learn how to digitize and print on to fabric accessories.

Materials will be provided for the first session (tea towels and tote bags), though participants are free to bring in their own tea towels, towels and bags they wish to upcycle.

For the second session, please bring articles of clothing and accessories (ie: bags, belts) to upcycle.

Part One (October 20): Tea Towels and Canvas Tote Bags
Part Two (October 27): Clothing and Accessories (bring your own items to upcycle, sewing machines and hand stitch needles will be provided)


Get ready to unleash your creativity and learn new skills with our upcoming workshops as part of the “Engaging Senior Artists” project! Led by Artist-in-Residence, Megha, and tailored for senior participants of all skill levels, our workshops will provide a platform for artistic expression, community engagement, and lifelong learning. 

Workshop topics include:

  • Storytelling with Acrylic Paint (November 3, 10 and 17)
  • Digitization (November 24*)
  • Ceramic Mug Design (December 1 and 8)
  • Collage Journals - Visual Diaries (January 19 and 26)
  • Community Mural Collage: Our Shared Journey (Feb 23 and March 2)

    All workshops will be held on Sundays between 2:00-3:00pm (*2:00-4:00pm)
