White Pine Book Club In-Person
The White Pine Award™ from the Forest of Reading program offers teens of all ages the opportunity to read the best of Canada’s recent young adult fiction titles. This program promotes reading for enjoyment and familiarizes teenagers with great Canadian books. The Forest of Reading is Canada's largest recreational reading program and offers 10 award programs to encourage a love of reading in people of all ages.
As part of the White Pine Book Club, members will read and discuss 5 of the 10 nominated books for the 2025 award, and will vote in April for this year's award winner. Members are highly encouraged to read the remaining 5 books on their own, but must read at least 5 from the list to be eligible to vote. Participants will be eligible to earn volunteer hours.
