MCRC Summer Giving Campaign
MPL has partnered with MCRC to host the Summer Giving Campaign in support of the Infant Food Bank.
The Summer giving Campaign encourages patrons to donate high demand items to any of MPL’s three locations, to help local families in need. In Exchange patrons have a chance to enter their names in a draw for a chance to win prizes!
The Infant Food Bank is a unique and vital support for families in Halton, working to bring food stability and security to our community, neighbours and friends. They are one of a kind and need to expand to better serve Halton.
Participants who donate the items below will have the chance to earn a weekly code to enter the draw for this year’s pool of prizes!
Donations of the following items high demand items in Milton will earn you 1 weekly entry! Below are the minimum donation quantities for entry. More is always welcome!
Requested Items/Minimum donation quantities
- 1 box/bag of Size 5 and 6 diapers
- 6 pouches baby food (no meat)
- 2 boxes baby cereal
- 6 bottles Formula or 600 plus gram powdered can
- 1 box menstrual pads
Anyone looking to donate items must speak with staff at the library front desk to receive their Summer Giving Campaign code for entry into the draw. Staff will verify your donation and provide you with your weekly code. Donations without staff verification would not receive the code.
At the end of the summer, MPL will randomly select participants to win the following prizes!
- Prizes include:
- Kobo sage eReader with power cover
- 100$ indigo gift card
- 25$ indigo gift card
- Tervis – Set of 16oz tumblers (4 Tumbers)
Getting Started with Beanstack
An individual library card is needed for each person you are registering.
- Visit your app store to download the Beanstack Tracker App to your smart phone or device, OR visit https://beinspired.beanstack.org/reader365 to use the browser version.
- Register yourself for an account.
- (TIP: make sure you look for Milton Public Library, Ontario. We’re the one with the bee logo)
- Select your Summer Giving Campaign challenge
Logging Badges
- You’ll earn a badge every week you donate the minimum donation quantity…we challenge you to donate every week!
- Each time you earn a Badge, you’ll receive tickets that you can use to enter the prize draws…reach your giving goal, and we’ll send you even more tickets!
- The more you read, the more chances you have to win an awesome prize at the end of the summer.
Spending Tickets
- Log in to your Beanstack account on a desktop computer.
- Open the “ticket drawings” tab.
- At the top of the page, you will see how many tickets you have earned. Below is the list of prizes available this year. Click on the “add tickets” button beside the prizes you want to win!
- Please note that some prizes have a maximum (e.g. you can only put 5 tickets towards them) while others do not.
- Make sure you spend all your tickets before the end of the day on Saturday, August 17, 2024!
