Sewing 101

Sewing 101 In-Person

Milton Public Library, in partnership with Creative Community Hive, is happy to announce a series of hands-on sewing machine workshops at the Beaty Branch. In these sessions, participants will learn basic sewing machine operation, and how to make different items. 

Join us on the below dates and times for beginner-level lessons. Lessons are intended for ages 13-17, who have little to no experience with using a sewing machine. Please note that all dates must be signed up for separately. All supplies will be provided. 

 

July 6: Make a Cushion Cover

July 13: Make an Apron

July 20: Make a Tote Bag

July 27: Learn how to do Alterations

August 3: Make a Cell Phone Pouch

August 10: Make Over Mitts or a Pot Holder

August 17: Learn how to do Alterations

August 24: Make a Zippered Pouch
