Garden Volunteers In-Person
Did you know that our Beaty branch is home to our Indigenous Learning Garden? It contains examples of local indigenous plants and also serves as a pollinator garden for our beehives. The garden will require care all summer long, so we are looking for teen volunteers to assist our gardener with maintenance - planting, weeding, watering, harvesting, and everything else. You are permitted to sign up for multiple dates. Please sign up for each date individually. Please note that there will be a 2 strike policy - if you register for multiple dates and fail to attend or cancel your registration in advance twice, you will be removed from any future garden volunteer dates that you have registered for this season.
You will be working outside, so please bring a hat, gardening gloves, and sunscreen, and we recommend that you wear long sleeves and pants. Please be aware that ticks have been found in the garden in previous years.
This volunteer opportunity is intended for teens in high school, and participants will be eligible for volunteer hours. Please register using the name of the person who needs the volunteer hours.
