Wikipedia at the Beehive In-Person
Join a Wikipedia expert, Emily Carrasco-Acosta, in a 7 week workshop for teens to curate content on Wikipedia with known bias/gaps, and teach individuals the importance of information consumption/contribution available on digital platforms. This will help youth to develop significant digital literacy, research, technical writing, and collaborative skills. Participants who attend high school will also be eligible to earn their community volunteer hours. Note: a limited number of chromebooks will be available for workshop use, but please bring your own laptop/tablet if possible.
