An Introduction to Mindfulness Workshop: Meeting Stress with Skill and Wisdom @ Sherwood

An Introduction to Mindfulness Workshop: Meeting Stress with Skill and Wisdom @ Sherwood In-Person

A gentle introduction to mindfulness for accessing the wisdom, well-being, and wholeness that reside within each of us. Learn how to improve your energy, zest and happiness through a sample of meditations, a brief history of mindfulness, and a review of the research. This workshop will also provide resources to help you start your own meditation practice and learn how to live a more mindful life.

Benefits of practicing mindfulness range from the physical, such as improved immune functioning, lower blood pressure, reduced symptoms of pain and lessened insomnia, to the emotional, such as increased confidence and joy and less anxiety. Develop skills for dealing more effectively with stress. Learn how to be more present in your life and for others.
