Metis Jigging Workshop with Tkaronto Métis Jiggers In-Person
For children 6 to 12 years of age and their parent or caregiver.
In recognition of Indigenous History Month we are excited to welcome Tkaronto Metis Jiggers for an informative and interactive dance workshop.
This program will include a history of the Metis People, an overview of Metis music and dance. Participants will try their hand at musical spoons and following a Red River Jig Demo, they will be encouraged to take part and learn alongside our enthusiastic instructors. A fun game of "Freeze Jig" will end the session.
