Stop-Motion Workshop @ Sherwood In-Person

Learn the basics to making a stop-motion film short with mixed-media artist and animator Sima Naseem in this 3-part workshop. Using plasticine and felt, participants will learn this 3D traditional medium through creating their own Claymation puppets and animating their own short films! 

Beginners welcome.

Week 1 (May 26):
An introduction to stop-motion and a demo short of animations for the class to practice with using clay. Participants will prepare storyboards and design characters for their own short stop-motion film. 

Week 2 (June 2):

Learn how to create Claymation puppets starting with strong wire armatures and balanced designs. Particpants will create background props using felt and construction paper. 

Week 3 (June 9):

Demo of character animation. Particpants will animate their short films.
