The Story Makers: a creative writing workshop with Special guest author Rina Singh! In-Person
For children 8 -12 years of age. Plesae note: Each child requires their own library card to register.
In celebration of Canadian Children's Book Week, author Rina Singh joins us and shares the story of her life and career. Using examples of the books she has written, Rina asks the audience to think about where stories and ideas come from. She shows how a book comes together, from first idea, to first draft and through the rewriting process. Following the presenations, Rina will share one of her own stories with us, 111 Trees, Grandmother School, The Lion Queen or Imagine a Garden, and there will be time for a question and answer.
