Queer Peers with Pflag Halton - Interactive Posters Night

Queer Peers with Pflag Halton - Interactive Posters Night In-Person

Queer Peers is a peer support meeting facilitated by Pflag Halton. All young people aged 12-18 are welcome to drop in at any gathering, with no registration required. This space will offer various activities, crafts, special guests, and general support for anyone queer, questioning, or who wants to be an ally. Please note that all people in the library are expected to abide by our Public Code of Conduct. Any form of discrimination and/or harassment will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Peer support is a model of care where someone with lived experience listens and validates another person’s experiences and helps to empower that individual to make choices that are right for them about how to navigate the challenges they face. Consent-based and peer-driven, peer support has been shown to positively impact an individual’s health and wellness.

This month we will be making interactive posters using Makey Makey kits. All materials will be provided.
