Classic Movie Night In-Person

Grab your popcorn because we’re going to enjoy a classic! Classic Movie Nights are every month, families gather together to watch a favorite classic movie at the Beaty Branch. Movies to be aired are: 

September 26

·      A Raisin in the Sun (1961, 2h 7m). Starring Sidney Poitier, Claudia McNeil an Ruby Dee, this movie tells the story of a Black family living in a Chicago tenement in the 1940s have the opportunity to improve their social standing via an insurance-policy check, but are in a disagreement about how best to spend the windfall.

October 24

·      The Bride of Frankenstein (1935, 1h 14m). Starring Boris Karloff, in the masterful sequel to the 1931 classic, the mad scientist is persuaded by a creepy doctor to create a mate for his creature to help fabricate a new race, but all doesn’t go as planned.

 

December 20

·      The Santa Clause (1994, 1h 37m). Starring Tim Allen, a divorced man inadvertently becomes the real Santa when he puts on the suit of the guy who fell off of his roof.
